For me, being a dentist is emotionally rewarding. Helping our patients achieve oral wellness is wonderful, as I know that excellent oral health leads to both a healthy body and increased self-esteem. When a patient comes to us, one who is ashamed of their smile, and we are able to help them achieve and maintain optimal oral health and a beautiful smile, we see their self-confidence grow and their life transform. It’s an honor to play a role in that process.
I have been practicing dentistry for more than 35 years. During that time I have seen the field develop amazing technologies, treatment options, and treatment processes. Taken together, these revolutions in oral healthcare mean amazing, lasting results for our patients. Even better, with the new painless dental treatment options, a lot of patient fear can be alleviated. Being able to reassure a patient that their life will be better as a result of dental care, and that they will experience no discomfort, is a great gift to offer.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Arts, history, The Ohio State University
- Bachelor of Science, biology, The Ohio State University
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery, The Ohio State University
I am a firm believer in keeping my oral healthcare knowledge and skills fresh. Without continually learning about advancements in dental care, including new materials, techniques, and products, I would not be able to provide my patients with the best, proven treatment options. Each year I take many hours of continuing education courses in order to further my abilities to serve my patients.

I grew up near Ft. Amanda and have lived near Fryburg, OH since 1980. My wife Christine and I have been married for more than 40 years and have two sons, as well as a daughter-in-law and two grandsons, who all live in the Cedar Rapids, IA area.
Chris and I live on a mini farm with our golden retriever Brutus. We enjoy snow skiing, landscaping, and automotive adventures in our Cobra replica. When I’m not working in the office, you can usually find me laboring in the yard or playing with the Cobra; I love to build things that go FAST! I attend services at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Botkins. I’m also a member of the Wapakoneta Sertoma Club, which serves members of the community with speech and hearing disorders.
